Over the years, we have issued numbers of crib sheets to help our dancers, and these have proved to be very popular, especially as some were illustrated by our resident cartoonist, Tony Milne. We have now put all these, and many new ones, together in the form of two amusing and instructive A5 books, lavishly illustrated with Tony’s cartoons in full colour.
The books are wirebound and each have laminated card front & back covers and have 56 pages, the first few pages of which describe the most common Progressions and Formations, with cartoons of the Allemande, Teapots, Ladies’ Chain and Setting to Corners in Book One, and The Knot, Poussette, Promenade and Rights & Lefts in Book Two.
In Book One, we have thirty four of the most popular dances which we dance at Edge, many of which are illustrated with cartoons. The dances are as follows :-
